Ebony Rachel Veal took her rest on August 9, 2026. She was born on March 8, 1985, to Marie Hullum and Michael Veal. She attended Akron Public Schools and graduated from Kenmore High School.

She worked in several professions throughout her life. Her primary profession was housekeeping, a career she was proud of and said was inspired by her grandmother, Dorothy.

As a teenager, Ebony lived with her Uncle Jerry and Aunt Kathleen for three years. During that time, she attended Jubilee Temple Church, where she came to know the Lord and accepted Him into her life.

Ebony was a loving mother who cared for her children and her family. She enjoyed spending time with those she loved and knew how to have a good time. Her presence brought joy and laughter to those around her, and she will be deeply missed.

Ebony was preceded in death by her father, Michael Veal; her grandmother, Dorothy Turner; and her grandfather, Robert Baker.

She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Marie Hullum; brother, William (Shawnte) Hullum; son, Alexis Collins; daughters, Maria Bell and Christina Bell; daughters' great-grandmother, Gail Bell, who faithfully cares for them; aunt, Kimberly Freeman; uncle, Jerry (Kathleen)Turner; and a host of family members and friends.
